Dr Lesley Bamford (Specialist: Child, Youth and School Chief Health Directorate @National Department of Health)
Dr Lesley Bamford works as a specialist in the Child, Youth and School Chief Health Directorate in the National Department of Health. Her work focuses on ensuring that mothers and children survive and thrive through strengthening delivery of maternal, newborn and child health services at community, primary health care and hospital levels. She is a paediatrician, and holds post-graduate degrees in African studies and public health.
Prof Mignon McCulloch (South African Paediatric Association Executive and Media representative Also Head of Paediatric Nephrology @SAPA Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital)
Prof McCullough is a Paediatrician with a strong interest in caring for sick children and promoting good health to children from babies to adolescents. She is Professor & Head of Paediatric Nephrology and Solid Organ Transplantation at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, as well as past-President of the South African Paediatric Association (SAPA) dealing specifically with COVID issues in the last 2 years as an important advocacy voice for children
Dr Siyanda Mgangato (Young keready doctor @DGMT- keready)
Dr Siyanda Mgangato is originally from a small town called Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. Her interests include primary health care and women's health, and she is currently currently contributing to improving these services through her work with the KeReady project.
Sr Sharon Marillier (Professional Nurse speciality paediatrics, Grey’s Hospital EPI Coordinator, Facility Vaccination coordinator (5-11years) -champi @KZN :Department of Health-Grey’s Hospital)
Sharon is a dedicated and accomplished Paediatric Nurse specialist with two decades of experience in the field. I am a passionate advocate for vaccinations, I am currently KwaZulu-Natal Provisional Vaccination Champion cohort 5-11years promoting and educating communities about the importance of immunization. Specializing in paediatric care, I apply extensive medical knowledge to ensure the well-being of my young clients, with commitment to healthcare and a love for children my goal is to make a profound impact in the medical community and beyond.
