Management of Adverse Events and HIV in the VMMC Programme.

 

Webinar objectives:

 

*	To provide an update on the VMMC program.
*	To equip participants on how to identify, classify, and manage
MMC-related complications.
*	Describe how to respond to an AE.
*	Identify special considerations in the referral and transfer of
clients who experience an AE.
*	Explain the importance of reporting and documenting AEs.

Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) Training

requirements to receive a 24 CPD points certificate. 

 

This course covers the theoretical overview of the circumcision programme,
which is essentially the backbone around which the surgical intervention is
focused. The course includes a detailed review of HIV prevention in Africa,
the anatomy and physiology required to perform a safe surgical circumcision
and a review of the procedure using the dorsal slit method, a  World Health
Organization (WHO) approved circumcision method.
