NOTE: Participants will earn 2 CPD points for the attendance of each live
tutorial. You are required to register for the course to receive a course
completion certificate. 

 

 

ABOUT THE COURSE 

 

The Basic HIV Course for Health Care Professionals is designed to equip
health care professionals with the knowledge necessary to initiate and
manage patients on ART. The interactive online curriculum consists of nine
modules, which focus on diagnosis, care, treatment, and management of HIV,
TB and STI patients. The goal of the training is to enhance and strengthen
the role of health care professionals in providing quality care to patients
infected with HIV and other comorbidities. This curriculum includes clinical
resources to support the health care professional in the clinic or hospital
setting. 

 

CPD ACCREDITATION 

*	A certificate of completion with 24 CPD points will be issued to
each participant who successfully completes all modules and quizzes with an
course average of 70%. 
*	A certificate of attendance will be issued to participants who don't
meet the pass rate (average) of 70%.

 

WHO SHOULD ENROL

 

*	Nurses (including Community Service Nurses)
*	Clinical Associates 
*	Doctors (including Medical Interns and Community Service Doctors)
*	Pharmacists

 

The course is also accessible to Educators in Nursing colleges, Medical
Schools, Regional Training Centres (RTCs), Department of Correctional
Services, and Military Health Services.

Module 2: Prevention of HIV and AIDS

Module 3: Diagnosis

Module 4: Antiretroviral Therapy

Module 5: HIV and other Diseases
