Dear ACC Master Trainer, 

Please find below information regarding the ACC Master Trainer Post-training
Virtual Support: Clinical Grand Round Session 4. The purpose of the clinical
grand round sessions are to provide post training virtual support for ACC
Certified Master Trainers through clinical case discussions and decision
support.

 

Date: 30 March 2021

Time: 14:00-16:30

Title: ACC Master Trainer Post-training Virtual Support: Clinical Grand
Round Session  

Master trainers to present a case on either:

 

*	Management of an HIV infected infant or child with ART failure on an
NNRTI or Protease Inhibitor based regimen.
*	Initiating ART in HIV positive neonate.

 

Main objectives:

*	Presenters will discuss their approach in management with Infectious
diseases and Paediatric specialists based on guidance received during the
ACC curriculum master training, facilitators will address the key questions
and clinical challenges in each case.
*	Post training virtual support for ACC Master trainers through
clinical case discussions and clinical decision support.

 

This session is aligned to the following ACC Curriculum modules: 

*	Module 1.2 - Principles of ART
*	Module 3.10 - Management of treatment failure in infants, children
and adolescents
*	Module 4.4 - Neonatal challenges 

 


 

SUBMIT YOUR CASE FOR DISCUSSION

Cases for presentation and discussion to be emailed to Sharon Paul at FPD on
ACC.Info at foundation.co.za <mailto:ACC.Info at foundation.co.za>  by 23rd March
2021.
