Dear ACC Master Trainer, 

Please find below information regarding the ACC Master Trainer Post-training
Virtual Support: Clinical Grand Round Session 2. The purpose of the clinical
grand round sessions are to provide post training virtual support for ACC
Certified Master Trainers through clinical case discussions and decision
support.

 

Date: 11 March 2021

Time: 14:00-16:30

Title: ACC Master Trainer post-training virtual support: Clinical Grand
Round Session 2 


Topic: An approach to an adult patient failing a Second Line ART regimen:

*	Principles of HIV drug resistance testing and interpretation. 
*	Principles of constructing a Third Line Regimen 

 

Main objectives:

*	Post training virtual support for ACC Master trainers through
clinical case discussions and clinical decision support.
*	Master trainers to present a case on management of an HIV infected
adult patient with ART failure on a second line Protease Inhibitor or
Dolutegravir based regimen.
*	Presenters will discuss their management approach based on guidance
received during the ACC curriculum master training.
*	Infectious disease specialists will address the key questions and
clinical challenges in each case. 

 

This session is aligned to the following modules: 

*	Module 3.2 - Principles of HIV drug resistance testing and
interpretation. 
*	Module 3.5 - Management of the adult patient failing a Dolutegravir
based regimen. 
*	Module 3.6 - Management of patient failing a Protease
Inhibitor-based regimen.
