Dear ACC Master Trainer, 

Please find below information regarding the first ACC Master Trainer
Post-training Virtual Support: Clinical Grand Round Session. The purpose of
the clinical grand round sessions are to provide post training virtual
support for ACC Certified Master Trainers through clinical case discussions
and decision support.

 

Session 1 Topic: An approach to management of the HIV infected adult patient
with co-morbidities: TB and Cryptococcal disease 

Main objectives:

*	Master trainers to present a case on management of an HIV infected
adult patient with TB or Cryptococcal disease aligned to one of the
following modules: 

*	Module 2.2 - Management of the HIV-positive person with respiratory
symptoms
*	Module 2.3 - Management of the HIV-positive person with a positive
serum cryptococcal antigen
*	Module 2.4 - Management of the HIV-positive person with headache and
other neurological symptoms
*	Module 2.9 - Management of the HIV-positive person with clinical
deterioration after initiating ART.

*	Presenters will discuss their approach in management and guidance
received during the ACC curriculum master training with infectious disease
specialists to address the key questions and clinical challenges in their
case.

Cases for presentation and discussion to be emailed to Sharon Paul at FPD on
ACC.Info at foundation.co.za <mailto:ACC.Info at foundation.co.za>  by 5th
February 2021.
