Dear ACC Master Trainer, 

Please find below information regarding the ACC Master Trainer Post-training
Virtual Support: Clinical Grand Round Session 5. The purpose of the clinical
grand round sessions are to provide post training virtual support for ACC
Certified Master Trainers through clinical case discussions and decision
support.

 

Title: ACC Master Trainer Post-training Virtual Support: Clinical Grand
Round Session 5

 

Topic: An approach to an adolescent patient :

*	With treatment failure on NNRTI , PI or InSTI based regimen. 
*	HIV disclosure and ART adherence management 

 

Date: 29 April 2021

Time: 14:00 - 16:30

 

Main objectives:

Master trainers to submit and present a case on :

1.      Management of an HIV infected adolescent with ART failure on a NNRTI
, PI or InSTI based regimen. 

2.   Challenges with disclosure, adherence and adolescent transition.

This session is aligned to the following ACC Curriculum modules: 

*	Module 3.2 - Principles of HIV drug resistance testing and
interpretation 
*	Module 3.3 - Management of the HIV positive person with a high viral
load
*	Module 3.8 - Management of low level viraemia 
*	Module 3.10 - Management of treatment failure in infants, children
and adolescents 

 

Presenters will discuss their approach in management with Infectious
diseases and Paediatric specialists based on guidance received during the
ACC curriculum master training, facilitators will address the key questions
and clinical challenges in each case.
